Justin Moorhouse to make another Corrie cameo
Justin Moorhouse is to make a fourth appearance in Coronation Street.
The comic will be playing a radio presenter in Monday night’s episodes, which revolves around the wedding of Paul Foreman and Billy Mayhew.
Moorhouse previously played a DJ hosting an on-air general knowledge quiz in an uncredited role in April 2019.
In real life, he has presented shows at BBC Radio Manchester and Key 103, now known as Hits Radio Manchester.
Moorhouse first appeared on the ITV soap in April 2011, playing Duggie, who delivered a car to Sally Webster.
And in 2013 he appeared Dean Upton, the obnoxious landlord of The Flying Horse pub, a rival to the Rovers Return, in a couple of episodes.
According to The Sun, Moorhouse’s cameo role in next week’s episode is a sketch with Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt.
The comic’s other screen credits include playing handyman Kenny in Phoenix Nights and the film Looking For Eric alongside footballer Eric Cantona.
Monday’s wedding scene may prove bittersweet as Paul (played by Peter Ash) is hiding a secret from new husband (Daniel Brocklebank) – as he has an assisted dying plan should his motor neurone disease become intolerable, but has not told his fiancé
The episode is co-written by Jonathan Harvey, creator of the Kathy Burke sitcom Gimme Gimme Gimme, who has also been a writer on Corrie for almost 20 years.
