Reading aloud
Ross Noble, Sean Lock and Phil Kay are among the comics appearing at this year's Leeds and Reading festivals.
Organisers have annouced the line-ups for the comedy tent at both events, which run from August 23 to 25.
Several of the acts will be arranging their appearances around their Edinburgh Festival runs.
The full bill also boasts Mitch Benn, Andy Robinson, Steve Gribbin, Rick Right, Hugh Lennon, John Bishop, Rudy Lickwood, Ian Cognito, Gavin Webster, Adam Crow, Carey Marx, Martin Bigpig, David Hadingham, Kevin McCarthy, Brendan Lovegrove, Martin Davies, Tom Stade, Colin Cole, Ben Norris, The Bastard Son of Tommy Cooper and The Cuban Brothers.
A festival spokesman said: "Far more than just an amusing distraction from the many great bands playing over the weekend, the comedy stage has long been an integral part of the festival."
Previous starts who have appeared at the music-dominated event include Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, Eddie Izzard and Jeff Green.
