Murray headlines benefit gig

Al Murray is to perform a gig next month in aid of young Rwandan musicians.

The Pub Landlord will headline a benefit gig in the Soho Theatre for Ballet Nganzo, a group of 12 to 20-year-olds, many of whom were left orphaned by the Rwandan civil war.

The troupe, from three tribes, need money for a tour of southern England in July, giving British people an insight to their culture.

Their music is said to be surprisingly joyous and optimistic, given the recent history of the region.

The charity gig, on June 16, also features comedians Ben Norris, Jack Russell and Jimmy Carr.

For tickets, priced £13.50, visit Ticketweb.
