SNL's Weekend Update on Donald Trump's troubling cabinet picks

...and Sarah Sherman shows up as a squirrel

He’s not even returned to the White House yet, but Donald Trump's troubling cabinet picks provided fodder for Colin Jost and Michael Che on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update last night.

Jost said: ‘On Wednesday, Trump nominated Matt Gaetz for attorney general, and Gaetz said the same thing he does when he sees a teenage girl: I’ll do it.’

And Che mocked Elon Musk for seeking candidates ‘willing to work 80+ hours a week for no money’ for his new Department of Government Efficiency adding: ‘You can’t be surprised that the white African guy’s first idea is slavery.’

Bowen Yang showed up as Joe Exotic, who had written  a letter to Donald Trump asking to be pardoned and become a member of his cabinet and Sarah Sherman played the widow of Peanut the Squirrel, the internet-famous rodent put down by government officials.

The pair also made jokes about Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s boxing bout, Wicked doll boxes accidentally linking out to a porn site and Disney-goers complaining a ride mades them too wet.
