Comedian is show's first blind contestant

Here’s Chris McCausland talking about appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, which returns to BBC One on Saturday.

The comedian will be the first blind contestant ever to appear on the hit show.

And the BBC also released this photo of him in his Strictly get-up:

In the promotional clip he said: ‘I grew up with mosh pits and headbanging, so I'm looking forward to Mosh Pit Week. That's a thing, isn't it?

‘I think sometimes the scary things that I've done have been the best experiences, and this is terrifying, so I'm expecting it to be amazing or three weeks I'll never live down.’
