Futurama series 12 trailer

Launching in the US later this month

Here’s the trailer for the 12th series of Futurama, which drops on the Hulu platform in the States from July 29.

The streaming service revived  Matt Groening's animated sci-fi comedy last year, and subsequently ordered two more seasons, this one and another taking the show through to 2026.

Hulu says that in the new episodes 'our occasionally heroic crew embarks on mind-bending adventures involving birthday party games to the death, the secrets of Bender's ancestral robot village, AI friends (and enemies), impossibly cute beanbags, and the true 5 million-year-old story behind the consciousness-altering substance known as coffee. And, of course, the next chapter in Fry and Leela's fateful, time-twisted romance'.

The full original voice cast is also back, including John DiMaggio, BIlly West, Katey Sagal and Tress MacNeille.

Futurama originally aired on the Fox network from 1999 to 2003, then was revived on Comedy Central from 2010 to 2013, before the new Hulu incarnation.

It's currently streaming on Disney Plus in the UK.
