Coming to Amazon’s Prime Video in January

Amazon’s Prime Video has released the official teaser trailer for LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland – and revealed that it will air from January 19.

Hosted by Graham Norton, the series will feature  Aisling Bea, Amy Huberman, Catherine Bohart, David McSavage, Deirdre O’Kane, Emma Doran, Jason Byrne, Martin Angolo, Paul Tylak, and Tony Cantwell.

For the show the comics were all put in a room together to try to make each other laugh – crack and they were eliminated. The last unsmiling comic standing receives  €50,000 for their charity of choice.

LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland is Prime Video’s  first Irish original comedy series, and is based on a Japanese format that has already had local versions in Mexico, Australia, India, Spain, Canada, The Netherlands, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, and Sweden.

Similarly LOL: Last One Laughing South Africa will be the streamer’s first South African original, hosted by Trevor Noah.

Amazon is reportedly planning a UK version too.
