Here’s the first clip of the Frasier reboot, featuring Nicholas Lyndhurst  as Alan, Frasier’s old college friend.

The clip shows Dr Crane back in Boston to the surprise of his son Freddy, played by Jack Cutmore-Scot, and hanging out in a bar with Alan, now a university professor, and his colleague Olivia, played by Toks Olagundoye.

Frasier also meets Freddy's girlfriend Eve, played by Jess Salgueiro, and has to get use to his son’s less rarefied life. 

The original Frasier – a spin-off from the Boston-set Cheers –  ran from 1993 to 2004. This new version arrives on Paramount+ in the UK on October 13, the day after the US launch.
