Pilot with Stevie Martin and Lola-Rose Maxwell

Stevie Martin and Lola-Rose Maxwell have made an online pilot ‘for people who can’t get off their phones to watch on their phones so they can have a laugh about phones’

Screen Time comes off the back of the duo's hit sketches – often based around the frustrations of technology – which have attracted 45 million views worldwide and won a Chortle Legend Of Lockdown award.

The eight-minute show was written by Martin, and also stars comics Mark Silcox, Graham Dickson, Adam Riches and Bilal Zafar.

Martin said: ‘I enjoyed being able to expand mine and Lola’s characters beyond looking at a webcam over zoom while saying "what????" and "I’m afraid that’s incorrect".

‘It’s been surreal making long-form content. Eight minutes is basically a feature film so I might submit it to the Grammys. What I love about making things online is how much money and respect you get. I’m now really respected and very rich.’

The pilot was directed by Andrew Nolan and produced by Howard Cohen at Whynow.
