Michael Che hits Colin Jost with a practical joke

Colin Jost was royally pranked by his Weekend Update co-host Michael Che last night.

Jost was apparently struggling on Saturday Night Live with all his topical gags about Donald Trump's indictment falling flat, while Che's were enthusiastically received.

And after watch his colleague squirm for a couple of minutes, Che came clean: 'I told them not to laugh at you for April Fool’s.

Jost was apparently relieved to learn the truth, saying he was asking himself '"Am I not miked?"... And then I was like, "Oh, I just suck."'

He then told Che: 'God, you’re evil... That’s the meanest thing you’ve ever done to me. I’m covered in sweat.'

When the audience finally showed their support, Jost  yelled back at them, 'Don’t you even dare try now...'
