The self-employed life as seen by Babak Ganjei

This is the life of the freelancer, as revealed in a new short film by Babak Ganjei.

The eight-minute video – intended as a sitcom series – follows the artist and writer who is a 42-year-old British-Iranian single father 'who acts like a 25-year-old indie freelancer'. He has to navigates single parenting, working under his own steam and the onset of middle age -  not always very well.

Producers Blink Industries call it 'an honest and relatable live action sitcom with stylised mixed media sequences' based on Babak’s DIY graphic novels, comic sketches  and  text-based artworks.

The film, which officially premiered today, is directed by Rosco 5 and co-stars Ben Ashenden, Katy Wix and Alistair Green.
