Les Mis parody skewers Kevin McCarthy

American musical satirist Randy Rainbow is back – with a new track taking aim at Speaker of the House of Congress, Kevin McCarthy.

The Californian Republican was elected earlier this month after 15 rounds of voting, with the delay caused by hardline right-wingers holding out for more concessions, which he granted.

McCarthy previously backed Trump's false denial of Joe Biden's  election victory and participated in efforts to overturn the results.

Rainbow’s song is a parody of Master of the House from Les Misérables  and contains lyrics describing him as ‘covetous, conservative and full of crap and ‘pushing an agenda of revenge and spite.’
