With Emma Thompson as Mrs Trunchbull

Netflix has released the official trailer for its movie version of Matilda The Musical.

Tim Minchin and Dennis Kelly’s version of Roald Dahl’s story – as directed by Matthew Warchus – will be landing on the streaming platform in December.

The movie had its premiere at the London Film Festival last week to critical acclaim.

Emma Thompson plays fearful headteacher Mrs Trunchbull with Alisha Weir in the title role, heading a cast that also includes Andrea Riseborough, Stephen Graham, Lashana Lynch and Sindhu Vee.
