Teaser for Russian Doll season 2

Natasha Lyonne's comedy-drama returns

Netflix has released the first teaser for the second season of Russian Doll.

The promo for the quirky comedy-drama shows  Natasha Lyonne's character Nadia walking up a staircase out of a grave, apparently defying death again, and followed by... herself.
It also shows her riding a subway train and falling down the stairs of the station.

In the first season she was forced to relive the run-up to her death over and over again, Groundhog Day-style.

And in the conclusion to the trippy trailer she says: 'If the universe fucks with you - let it.'

The teaser announces that the show will be returning on April 20.

Netflix's season two synopsis reads: 'Discovering a fate even worse than endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan delving deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan's most notorious locations.

'At first they experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning, intergenerational adventure, but they soon discover this extraordinary event might be more than they bargained for and, together, must search for a way out.'

Former Orange Is the New Black star Natasha created the series along with Amy Poehler, and Leslye Headland and all three serve as executive producers.
