AC-12 interview with Boris Johnson

Line Of Duty parody to heap pressure on the PM

Boris Johnson has been quizzed by AC-12 over the Downing Street parties thrown during the Covid pandemic.

At least that’s what it appears in a Line of Duty parody video released by campaign group Led By Donkeys.

In it, voices sounding very similar to Martin Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar quiz the PM over the allegations engulfing his government. The actors have not confirmed whether they took part, but the series creator Jed Mercurio has shared the clip.

The interview, part of ‘Operation BYOB’ features a real clip of Johnson saying of the myriad claims: ‘All that is subject for investigation by Sue Gray’.

To which  Superintendent Ted Hastings replies: ‘We've investigated it, and the facts are plain for everyone to see.’

He later adds: ‘Sir, a gathering like the one described in LBD1 would have been a breach of the health protection regulations in operation at the time, as well you know.’

And he chastises Johnson by saying: ‘It wasn't just a case of one rule for us and another for them it was ore like no rules for us.’
