Ricky Gervais returns

Netflix has released the full trailer for the third – and probably final – season of Ricky Gervais’s After Life.

The teaser shows his character Tony deciding to go on a trip to scatter his dad’s ashes.

And he concludes: ‘I thought not caring was a superpower – caring about stuff, that’s what really matters. Kindness. Making other people feel good’ – a sentiment underlined throughout the clip.

The trailer also features a flashback featuring Kerry Godliman as his late wife, defending her belief in an afterlife as Tony mocked it.

‘Every end is a new beginning,’ says the Netflix tagline.

The series streams from January 14.
