Tina Fey stood in for Colin Jost in an unusual Weekend Update segment on Saturday Night Live last night.

The show was filmed without a studio audience because of the surging Omicron variant, and the pair delivered the topical zingers from directors’ chairs rather the traditional newsdesk.

So the pair performed gags about Elon Musk, the Nasa Sun probe, and Bruce Springsteen and more only for other cast members, plus Tom Hanks,

Fey joked that Jost’s absence was ‘not what you think’ and that he was having ‘work done’.
