Trailer for The Prince

HBO's new animated comedy about the Royal Family

Here’s the  trailer for The Prince, the new HBO Max animated comedy based on the young members of the Royal Family.

The show, which dropped on the streaming service yesterday, shows George as a sassy, spoiled but insecure kid who sounds a bit like Simon Cowell.

And Prince Louis, three, is depicted as a gangster-like Cockney demanding tea from a butler before smashing the cup in rage.

The show was created by Family Guy writer Gary Janetti, who also plays George, based on a social media account he set up posing as the Prime.

The cast includes Orlando Bloom as the Duke of Sussex, Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey as the Prince of Wales, Lucy Punch as the Duchess of Cambridge, and Frances de la Tour as the Queen.

The series – which has attracted criticism for mocking children – even depicts Prince Philip, despite his death earlier this year.

But each episode begins with a disclaimer saying the show ‘isn’t really the royal family. It’s like, a parody, or whatever.’

There is no news yet about whether any British broadcaster will air it.
