Asim Chaudhry stars in new Walkers Crisps ad

The new Gary Lineker?

Asim Chaudhry has replaced Gary Lineker as the face of Walkers Crisps in their new advert.

The People Just Do Nothing star plays a TV aerial installer who gets stuck in a skylight in the latest commercial, which has the catchline, voiced by Paddy McGuinness: ‘When life gives you potatoes, make crisps.’

Lineker has been the face of the crisps for 26 years, but has not lost the lucrative gig.

Last year, he signed a new three-year deal for a reported £1.2million - but the contract included fewer commercials than before. And the former footballer recently starred in a campaign for Walkers tie-up with KFC.

Chaudhry previously fronted an ‘Experiments With ASMR’ social media campaign for the company, in which he crunched his way through some of their flavours.
