Apple's first UK comedy

Apple has released the official trailer from Trying, its first new British comedy series.

The show stars Esther Smith and Rafe Spall as a thirtysomething couple desperate to have a baby.

After ruling out every other option, they decide to adopt – but with their dysfunctional friends, screwball family, and chaotic lives, will the adoption panel agree that they’re ready to be parents?

It was written by written by Andy Wolton – his first full series – and directed by Catastrophe's Jim O'Hanlon.

Trying will drop on the streaming service on May 1.
