Samurai & Shogun

Adult Swim has unexpectedly released a new mini-episode of Rick and Morty.

In the five-minute short, Samurai & Shogun, Rick exists as a samurai warrior fighting off a hoard of ninjas before smoke bombs drug him into a psychedelic reverie.

The short, which took a year to put together, is the creation of Japanese animation studio Studio Deen, with Yohei Tadano providing the voice of Rick and Keisuke Chiba as 'Shogun Morty'.

Rick and Morty, which airs on Channel 4 in the UK, is currently on a mid-season hiatus, but it is not known when the rest of series four will be released.
