Thinking inside the box...

New short about the insecurities of stand-up

The fears and insecurities of a new comedian are explored in this short from film-maker Emmet Colton.

In it, Eamonn Devlin plays Daniel, who has always wanted to perform stand-up comedy, but has a crippling fear of crowds, open-spaces and public embarrassment.

So he has to think outside (or rather inside) the box, to live out his dream.

Colton, from Derry, has recently written for the BBC Northern Ireland mockumentary Soft Border Patrol and the radio series A Perforated Ulster

His four-minute film, One Mic, features in Channel 4's Random Acts strand.
