Billy Connolly answers comedians's questions

On Radio 5 Live

Billy Connolly has been sharing his comedy tips with fellow stand-ups.

Eddie Izzard, Joe Lycett, Jimeoin, Chris Ramsey and Romesh Ranganathan all asked questions when the Big Yin was interviewed by BBC Radio 5 Live's Nihal Arthanayake.

Connolly told Lycett he couldn't give him any advice on writing since he made it up as he went along, and told Ranganathan that it was a 'terrible burden' to be considered one of the best stand-ups of all time.

And he said that his influences included Scottish comedy legend Chic Murray, Moray Amsterdam, who was a regular on The Dick Van Dyke Show, and Max Wall, who was 'in my opinion the funniest comedian Britain ever produced'.
