New comedy from HBO

HBO has released a trailer for the new comedy series A Black Lady Sketch Show.

The teaser show features scenes in a Bad Bitch Support Group, at a Baptist church meal for pensioners,  and what appeared to be a Handmaid's Tale spoof.

And prepare to learn the phrase 'Flintstone dick'...  and never be able to unlearn it.

The core cast comprises Robin Thede, Ashley Nicole Black, Gabrielle Dennis and Quinta Brunson; while guest stars include Angela Bassett, Patti Labelle, David Alan Grier and Jermaine Fowler The series will premiere on HBO on August 2.

Most shows from the US premium cable channel are shown on Sky Atlantic in the UK, although no British broadcast has yet been announced.
