Tom Allen plays football for the first time

With Joel Dommett, Iain Stirling and others

Tom Allen has played football for the first time for the new Comedy Central show The Comedy Bus.

He took to a playing field in his hometown of Bromley in Kent for a kick about with fellow comics including Joel Dommett – dubbed a ‘full kit wanker’ for taking it too seriously, Iain Stirling and Kiri Pritchard-Mclean.

She said Allen was ‘a real natural’, while Stirling praised him as ‘excellent… genuinely good’

And Allen himself admitted he enjoyed the experience, even learning such phrases as ‘ave it’, ‘man on’ and ‘I’m open’ – though he would prefer the camper ‘I’m free’.

The Comedy Bus - which also features Suzi Ruffell and Darren Harriott – starts on Comedy Central, at 10pm on Wednesday.
