Trailer released

Hulu has released the first trailer for Shrill – its new comedy featuring Lolly Adefope.

In it she plays the best friend of the lead character Annie, played by Saturday Night Live star Aidy Bryant.

In the short clip, Adefope's character Fran is show pepper-spraying her room-mate's boyfriend Ryan (Luka Jones), then deadpanning: 'I don't apologise to white people.'

The show, based on the book Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman by Lindy West, will land on the US subscription service on March 15.

The teaser is released the day after a sketch in which Adefope appears alongside Idris Elba as part of a big-budget ad campaign for web hosting company Squarespace.
