With Steve Coogan as Stan Laurel and John C Reilly as Oliver Hardy

Here's the first footage of Steve Coogan as Stan Laurel and John C Reilly as Oliver Hardy in the new movie Stan & Ollie.

The trailer has just been released ahead of the film's world premiere as the closing event of this year’s BFI London Film Festival on October 21.

Stan & Ollie charts the duo’s journey around the music halls of UK and Ireland in 1953, long after their glory days and when Hardy was suffering declining health.

Although the stage show starts as a flop at the box office, it gradually becomes a hit as audiences appreciate their performances.

It also stars Shirley Henderson and Nina Arianda as the duo's wives Lucille and Ida.

Stan & Ollie will be in cinemas on January 11.
