Rob Beckett spoke about 'coming out' as a comedian to his working-class London parents in the latest edition of Romesh Talking To Comedians.

Speaking to his pal Romesh Ranganathan, he speaks about how his 'geezer' reputation on the comedy circuit is at odds with his experiences, recalls gigging at Romesh's dad's pub – which he describes as 'awful' – and finds himself on the receiving end of some insults.
