First trailer

Here’s the first footage of Alan Davies in the new period football movie The Bromley Boys.

It tells the coming-of-age story of a teenager obsessed with the worst football team in the UK – Bromley FC – in 1969.

It is based on the autobiographical book of the same name by Dave Roberts, who is played by Brenock O’Connor.

Davies plays his father Donald, and provides a voiceover, with Martine McCutcheon as his mum Gertie.

The cast also includes and The Office’s Ewen Macintosh, Gareth Hale from Hale & Pace, and actor and rapper Adam Deacon.

The Bromley Boys is to have its world premiere at Wembley Stadium on May 24.
