At the Leicester Comedy Festival preview show

Comedian Chris Washington has spoken of his time doing work experience... as a dinnerlady.

He spoke of the 'glamour' of travelling to work through Wigan on the bus and wearing clogs, as well as his job of stopping contraband getting into the dining hall.

Washington – who was nominated for best newcomer in last year's Edinburgh Comedy Awards – performed the routine at the Leicester Comedy Festival preview show last month, to promote his gig at Just The Tonic @ Brewdog in the city on February 17.
