First look at Stewart Lee's Man-Wulf costume

comedyHere’s the first look at Stewart Lee as the Man-Wulf, his alter-ego from his new stand-up tour.

In the show, Lee adopts the persona of the tough-talking werewolf comedian ‘to position himself alongside comedy legends like Dave Chappelle, Ricky Gervais and Jordan Peterson at the forefront of side-splitting stadium-stuffing shitposting’.

And that character is described as posing a ‘ferocious comedy challenge to the culturally irrelevant and physically enfeebled Lee’ as he approaches 60 with his liberal style of stand-up falling out of favour.

The werewolf costume was designed and made by Wendy Banstead Ltd and Tom Silverwood.

The national tour of Stewart Lee vs The Man-Wulf kicks off in Southampton on Sunday, following its development season at the Leicester Square Theatre in London. It is due to end in November.
