For sale: One joke, never been told
A comedian who appeared on Britain’ Got Talent is selling one of his jokes – but you won’t know what it is unless you buy it.
Chris Leworthy, who auditioned for the talent show in 2018, is selling the gag on eBay, where bidding currently stands at £31.
It has been written on a picture postcard and sealed inside a brown envelope, with the comic saying: ‘It has never been told/tweeted/spoken/shared or performed before’.
But he does reveal that it’s a ‘dad joke’ – similar to those he told on the ITV show.
Those gags included: ‘Today my obese parrot died. It is, however, a huge weight off my shoulders’, and asking judge David Walliams if he’d ever tried ‘blindfolded archery’. When the Little Britain comic shook his head, Leworthy added: ‘You don’t know what you’re missing!’
Writing on eBay the comic said the joke will be entirely the property of the winning bidder, ‘to do with as you wish’.
The auction, which is here, closes on Friday morning.
