Hull Trains stages a pop-up comedy gig on the 11:48

comedyRail passengers on the 11:48 from to Hull have been treated to an unexpected comedy show.

One carriage on the Hull Trains service from London was turned into a  pop-up comedy club to promote November’s Hull Comedy Festival. 

Comedians  taking part included included Hull Comedian of The Year 2023 Hannah Margaret and improv comedy show The Discount Comedy Checkout as well as  Hollie Noble, Jed Salisbury and  Gary Jennison. 

Jennison, who is creative director of the festival, said: ‘Being able to bring laughter to customers was such a joy as we showcased the region's multi award winning comedy talent at 125mph.’

Louise Mendham from Hull Trains, added: ‘We were thrilled to be able to transform a carriage on one of our hi-tech trains into a comedy club for a journey. The feedback was excellent. We gave customers our very own mini Edinburgh Fringe.’
