Don't let me stop you voting!
Ed Byrne is starting his tour show half an hour later tomorrow night, to give fans more time to vote.
The comic’s Tragedy Plus Time show was due to start at Middlesbrough Town Hall at 7.30pm, but now kicks off at 8pm.
Byrne told the BBC ‘I’d hate to be the reason people gave for why they didn’t vote’ – while Middlesbrough Town Hall general manager Kesia Bruce said the venue was ‘happy to support’ the move.
Middlesbrough had one of the 20 lowest turnouts at the 2019 election, at 56.1 per cent. That compares to 80.3 per cent in top-rated East Dumbartonshire.
Labour are defending a 8,395 majority in the town.
Tragedy Plus Time explores Byrne’s relationship with his younger brother Paul, who died aged 44 two years ago.
