The Times’ diary column today reports a lovely Sean Lock line, relayed via Harry Hill.
The big-collared comic was once at a benefit gig where comedians performed karaoke and was moved by Jimmy Carr singing Sweet Caroline to his long-term girlfriend, Karoline Copping.
He turned to Sean to idly wonder why such a happy couple still hadn’t tied the knot – prompting his friend to joke that it was because Carr ‘doesn’t like the idea of giving a speech and not getting paid for it’.
