Fern Brady is Scotland's top tweeter
Fern Brady is the most influential Scot on Twitter, new research has found.
The comedian has 78,000 followers on the platform, and some of her tweets have gone viral. Last month a revelation about a hoodie she was wearing around the house attracted more than 87,000 likes:
I've been wearing my boyfriend's hoodie around the house for the last week. I tried to give it back last night.

"That's not my hoodie." Realised with horror I've been wearing our builder's hoodie. In front of the builder.
Politicians were excluded from the study by PR agency Spey, which otherwise looked at the likes, retweets and comments attracted by all individual Scottish Twitter users
Second was Aston Villa footballer John McGinn, who has 150,000 followers, with Arsenal’s Jen Beattie in third.
Eleanor Morton was fourth and fellow comics Paul Black (9th) and Susan Calman (17th) also made the top 20.
Thom Watt, head of digital at Spey, said: ‘Fern Brady is brilliant at Twitter. Her jokes and anecdotes work perfectly for the format, and she’s found a huge audience online.’
