She’s normally fairly unabashed in her comedy – but Katherine Ryan has made the shock discovery that she might actually be a prude.

The stand-up said she became unexpectedly coy while filming a sex scenes for her new Netflix comedy series The Duchess.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: ‘What I hated was any sex scene. I will never do another.

'It was handled very well — there was no actual nudity, so I don't know why I found it so hard. I didn't know I was such a prude.'

Maybe she should blame the writer… herself.

The Duchess lands on Netflix on September 11.
