Success at Saatchi sale

They’re not exactly photo-realistic – but Noel Fielding’s portraits of The Sex Pistols, Ed Sheeran and Michael Jackson have fetched nearly £1,000 apiece.

The drawings were three of 25 pieces the Boosh comedian sold at Saatchi Art for £912.

And another piece, based on Sir Peter Blake’s famous album sleeve for The Beatles Sgt Pepper album fetched £3,120.

The London gallery describes Fielding’s work as  ‘visceral and animated’. 

During lockdown, the Bake Off host has launched Noel’s Art Club, which encourages people to send in their submissions based on a particular theme.
