Tom Allen's unlikely hosting gig

Tom Allen is one of the main hosts of BBC One's Sports Relief this year – and no one is more surprised than he is.

'I’m terrible at sport, he admits. 'Once, at the gym, I got stuck under a bar bell. A cleaner had to get me out.

'I think they asked me to do the show as the relief, from the sport.'

He'll also be talking part in a sports edition of QI alongside Johnny Vegas, Phill Jupitus, Aisling Bea and John Barrowman.

And in another strand on the night – March 13 – Romesh Ranganathan will be playing mini-golf with Sir Andy Murray.
