Police want to question comic's doppelganger
Ellie Taylor has been forced to reassure fans she’s not a criminal – after police released an image of a lookalike they want to question over a purse snatching.
Twitter followers were quick to alert the Mash Report star about the similarity after Leicestershire officers put out an appeal about the crime in a village supermarket last month.
It prompted the comic to post the tongue-in-cheek disclaimer: ‘I would like to publicly state that this is NOT me. On the day in question I was in Pizza Express, Woking.’

Last year, Friends star David Schwimmer was at the centre of a similar story after a doppelganger used a stolen credit card in Blackpool.
