Massive mural honours the Derry Girls
'Mind is blown'
The cast of Derry Girls have been honoured with a 20ft hogh mural in the town where the comedy is set.
An entire wall of Badgers pub is now a tribute to the Channel 4 and Netflix comedy, depicting the main characters – Erin, Orla, Clare, Michelle and James.
Channel 4 commissioned the work from local company UV Arts to mark the show's return – which expected in early March – and it has been unveiled today.
Actress Nicola Coughlan, who plays Clare, says her 'mind is blown' by the image.
Badgers manager John Cooley has said: 'We have people coming from all over the world to look at it already. We weren't sure people would understand [he show], the Troubles and then the accent, but everyone seems to love it.'
