Comics go to Eugenie's wedding
Jimmy Carr and Jack Whitehall were among the celebrities at Princess Eugenie’s wedding today.
Carr arrived for the ceremony a St George’s Chapel in Windsor in a morning suit; while his long-term partner Karoline Copping, a commissioning editor, wore a blue bird-print dress.
The couple holidayed with Eugenie on the Caribbean island of St Bart’s in 2015.
Meanwhile, Whitehall tweeted: 'Wonderful day in Windsor celebrating the nuptials of the awesome Eugenie and Jack. Had fun trying to pass off Jamie Redknapp to Americans as a dignitary called Rupert Redknapp, The Duke of Hampton.'
Earlier this year, Carr tried to finagle his way into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.
When the appeared on New Zealand TV show The Project in January alongside the country’s prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, he told her: ‘I’m unlikely to get an invitation. You’re the prime minister, maybe you'll get one. Can I be your plus one? If you're in the area? You’ll get to go, won’t you?’
The comedian appears to have softened his stance towards the Royals. On one of his specials he joked: 'What do you get if you cross the Queen and Prince Phillip? Killed in a tunnel.'
Maybe that's not one for the wedding breakfast speeches...
