Fleabag cafe gets a makeover

...to put it back to how it was!

comedyThe cafe in Fleabag is almost a character in itself, themed around guinea pigs and where a cheese sandwich costs £12.55.

So as the series makes a return, it was only to be expected that the overpriced eaterie would be back too. The only problem is the Village Cafe in Dartmouth Park, North London, where it was filmed had been turned into a Turkish diner this summer.

It meant production company Two Brothers has brought in a team to put the cafe back to how it was – for one week only.

‘It’s been a laugh watching them put it back to how it was after six weeks of building work was done to change how it looked,’ one neighbour told the Islington Tribune.

Last week, it was revealed that Andrew Scott – best known for playing Moriarty to Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock – joining the cast for the second series of Fleabag.

Shane Allen, the BBC’s controller of comedy commissioning has said: 'The themes of this series are very distinct from the first series which delivers on the challenge Phoebe set herself.’

The new series will air next year.
