Working out some new material

Amy Schumer paid a surprise visit to London comedy club last night.

The Trainwreck star rocked up at the long-running Old Rope new material night at The Phoenix pub just off Oxford Street.

She today also announced a last-minute secret gig at Soho Theatre for tonight, with the show selling out within minutes of it being announced.

Promoter and host Tiff Stevenson posted the news of her appearance at Old Rope on Instagram:

An audience member also Instagrammed a picture of her on stage with the noose that hangs in the venue – a prop that comics must grab on to every time they do old material.

 

Well, that was a turn up. You don't expect Amy Schumer in a pub basement on a Monday.
