I WAS in the service! The United Parcel Service...
Sacha Baron Cohen’s has responded to Sarah Palin’s claim that she was exploited by his ‘sick’ stunt.
The former vice-presidential candidate said the comic had duped her into agreeing to an interview for his new series by posing as a disabled war veteran.
But in a response, Cohen has posted a letter on Twitter in the guise of a new character, the self-proclaimed ‘citizen journalist’ Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr, PhD.
The alter-ego runs the site truthbrary.org – as opposed to a LIEbrary – which collates a few of the more common conspiracy theories.
His letter reads: ‘I did NOT say I was a War Vet. I was in the service – not military, but United Parcel and I only fought for my country once – when I shot a Mexican who came onto my property.’
He adds: ‘Just like our Great President I was sadly prevented from joining the regular army on account of bone spurs bein [sic] discovered in my testies.’
Trump actually avoided military service for bone spurs in his feet.

The letter addressed Palin as ‘vice-president’ and praised her for telling the truth about ‘Obama’s birth certificate and the location of Russia’ – a reference to her supposed claim that ‘I can see Russia from my house.’ Though in fact she never said it: it was Tina Fey impersonating her on Saturday Night Live.
Who Is America? begins on Showtime in America on Sunday and on Channel 4 in the UK on Monday.
