The curse of Romesh strikes again

Now Mo Farah is hurt in a stunt with the comic

comedyMo Farah has become the latest sports star to be injured in a stunt with Romesh Ranganathan.

The Olympian smacked his face on rigging while recording a segment for Sky sports quiz A League Of Their Own on Friday.

He had been racing the comic around a track suspended 15 feet above the studio floor, and when the challenge was over he leapt off the structure, knowing he was in a harness to break his fall.

But he hadn't counted on the fact he would be swinging around, and ended up smashing face-first into the metallic track.

The Sun - which has footage of the accident – reported that Sir Mo required medical assistance in the studio.

Ranganathan appeared concerned by the incident, but Sir Mo kept smiling. He reportedly joked that he was relieved he’d taken out medical insurance for the filming at Elstree Studios near London.

Last week we reported that Jamie Redknapp fractured his wrist – after Romesh Ranganathan dropped a football on him for another League Of Their Own stunt.

The pair were apparently attempting to break a world record when Ranganathan dropped the ball 120ft from a crane – with the former England midfielder injured when he put his right arm up to protect his head.

He went to hospital, where he was diagnosed with a broken scaphoid bone. He is expected to film the rest of the series in a cast.
