More clues to Rob Delaney's Deadpool 2 character
A new trailer has been released for Deadpool 2, revealing a little more about comedian Rob Delaney's character, Peter.
His brief appearance in a teaser last month led to speculation that the Catastrophe star was playing the British spy and superhero Pete Wisdom from the comic-book universe.
But the new, longer trailer reveals that he has no superpowers, but is nevertheless still recruited to the X-Force team of mutants being assembled by Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool.
'Any powers you want to tell us about?' the wisecracking hero asks him
'I don't have one,' replies Peter. 'I just saw the ad.'
Deadpool tells him he's in, and the next second he's seen skydiving at great speed.
It has also been revealed that Peter W has his own Twitter account. According to the bio he is a 'Husband. Experienced Apiarist (Beekeeper). I like sports and grilling on my deck.', and in a post after the trailer was released tweeted: 'I appreciate all the attention. But I’m just an honest guy, looking for work in a contracting economy. #XForce.'
In the earlier trailer, Peter was just seen as one of the photograph Deadpool was flicking through to select his team:
Deadpool 2 is out on May 15.
Brooklyn 99's Terry Crews also joins the film as the electromagnetic Bedlam, Josh Brolin plays the time-travelling Cable and Zazie Beetz is the always lucky Domino.
