Comic drops out of Late Late Show to be at the birth

James Corden has become a father for the third time after his wife Julia gave birth to a baby girl last night.

Corden dropped out of hosting his Late Late Show at the last minute so he could be by her side with former One Direction star Harry Styles stepping in at the last minute.

He tweeted overnight: ‘‘Today we welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into the world. Both she and her mother are doing great. We can’t stop smiling. Thank you Harry for stepping in to host the show at 2 and a half hours notice.’

James and Julia also have son, Max, six, and daughter, Carey, three.
