Supportive parenting, Bhaskar-style
Sanjeev Bhaskar’s family were not always entirely supportive of his ambitions to become a comedian.
Speaking at the Asian Awards on Friday, and reported in the diary column of The Times today, The Kumars star recalled that when he was just five years old, an uncle asked him: ‘So young man, what do you want to be when you grow up?’
‘An actor,’ said the young Bhaskar.
His dad promptly corrected him: ‘Son. I think you’ll find it is pronounced doctor.’
