Tat's tempting fate...
It’s certainly a bold statement.
A nominee for the biggest prize at the Melbourne comedy festival has had the words: ‘Barry Award Winner 2017’ tattooed on to his arm.
And Tom Walker doesn’t even think he’s going to win once the result is announced on Saturday.
The comic, who was named best newcomer at last year’s event, had his arm inked at Blue Lady Tattoos today.
And he tweeted the results, saying: ‘Fingers crossed.’

The comic, who has been shortlisted for the award alongside Richard Gadd, Anne Edmonds, Damien Power, Sammy J and Hannah Gadsby, told Chortle: ‘I thought it would be funny.’
But he added: ‘I’ve booked in on Sunday to have it crossed out and changed to "nominee". There’s no way Hannah Gadsby isn't winning and I'm super psyched for her.’
